Little Miss Lily

So I fell off the blogging wagon a loooong while ago and so much has changed since then. The biggest change of all was welcoming our beautiful daughter, Lily Mae, into the world on February 25, 2012. 

Since then, for me its been a mix of busy times trying to keep up and learning this new role called "mom" and downtimes of snuggling with little miss Lily knowing all too soon she will be getting too big for this. Kyle has it much worse with balancing school, interning and studying for boards on top of finding time to cuddle and coo with Lily. It's so cute watching the two of them together and I'm telling you that little girl already has a smile that melts daddy's heart!

 I'm about halfway through my maternity leave and already dreading the days I'll drop her off at daycare in the morning and not see her again until after 5 =( I have so much respect for moms - stay at home moms, working moms, moms of multiples, moms of all ages - only having our little peanut with us for just under 3 weeks has shown me the importance of patience, support of loved ones, time management, cuddle time, nap time, etc. I've always been the "help myself" type but am slowly learning its ok to rely on others and it's ok not to get everything done on my to do list. It's already been a great learning experience and I'm so looking forward to each day watching Lily grow and learn and change and spending time just the 3 of us growing our own little family!
