Another Favorite Find of mine is a neat little online gadget called Spring Pad (springpadit.com). Its like an online file cabinet, cookbook, to do list, etc etc. It can be used to help organize hundreds of different things. Whenever I was browsing the internet and would come across a good recipe, cool craft or just something cool I wanted to save I would bookmark it or write it down somewhere. However you can imagine over the years my bookmark list would be entirely too long to even categorize and my lists of "things to check out" would get lost. So when I saw this handy tool, I decided to give it a try. Now anytime I'm online and see a recipe I simply "Spring It" which brings up a little box which saves the url and I can type in titles, keywords, etc so I can sort and find it later. See my example below with this recipe:
The other cool thing is I downloaded the app on my phone so I have access to my database wherever I'm at. It's helpful when I'm at home, think of a recipe and don't want to drag the computer to the kitchen, I just look it up on my phone. Here is another pic of my home page: As you can see I can enter things as different types, but I use the "tags" option the most. I tag things as crafts, Christmas, health, food crafts, children, baby, etc. So anytime I have some down time and want to work on a craft I just type "craft" into the search panel and anything I've tagged "craft" will pop up.
So that's my favorite find for the day. Another similar program you can use is called Evernote and I'm sure there are a lot more options available as well, especially as our world becomes more and more digital.
