Fun Weekend

Yesterday we went to Valley Fair with some of Kyle's relatives. Although I'm not much for rides, I still had a good time. The last time I was there I believe I was in 8th grade but the park seemed about 6 times the size I remembered it to be. It was a beautiful 80+ degree day so we spent a majority of our time at the water park. One of the other fun things I like to do when I'm in a crowded area is to simply sit back and people watch. I know it sounds creepy, but I don't mean it in that way. I always find it interesting how people do/don't behave in public, what little kids will always try to get away with and just in general how people are people.

Speaking of how people are people, just thought I'd share one rude encounter I had the other day. I was waiting in line in the clinic with many people around either in line, in the waiting room, etc. All of a sudden clear as day we hear this lady on her cell phone chewing out the person on the other line. She wasn't doing anything to control the volume or rudeness of her voice and the entire place heard her conversation. It was obvious she was talking to her cell phone carrier about some issue she was having, but boy did she let that person have it. She went off on how she has already had this many phones replaced, and how it would be great customer service to help her then rudely asked for the name of the person she was talking to and for his/her manager. I was absolutely appalled at for 1, how rude this lady was to a customer sales person and 2 how she had absolutely no manners in taking her very loud phone call outside. I know sometimes things happen and there may be reason to get upset, but there is absolutely no reason to be so rude to someone. Working in retail, sometimes a person is exposed to these "rude" people. As much as I want to be rude back, I try and remember that I have no idea what that person may be going through or why they are acting like that. I know there is no excuse for acting terribly, because we can in fact control ourselves, but sometimes things just happen that make us snap and act completely different. Me included. Unfortunately Kyle usually takes the brunt of things, as our closest loved ones usually do. I'm so thankful however that he is always so forgiving no matter how many times I do it. I am truly blessed with the best husband ever =).
